I have some Koni shocks which I whacked into the front, they are about 75mm too long but will be OK for a road test soon.
I have a pair of shocks from the rear of my Mini which when shortened will be just fine, not only will they absorb bumps but also limit the suspension travel so that will come after a test drive.
