The engineer dashed my hopes of having a rear mounted rack, he would not allow me to use any offsets on either the rack or tie rod so it has to in front of the motor. The steering shaft would have been a lot easier to route to the rack, in front of the motor my choices were to try to thread through a mess of stuff or go up, around and back, Tony did it successfully so it should be OK.
