New Gearbox
My new hoist made removing and re-fitting the engine easy, I should have bought one years ago, You can just see the gearbox in the top pic it's between the altinator and output spline, I'm hoping for a smoother gear change, haha not likely!!

Action Camera Fitted
I fitted a cheep Action Camera to just in front and to the left of the motor, hopefully it picks up engine noise, funny thing about action cameras everything looks like slow motion, even at 100kph which feels like 150kph it looks more like 50kph on play back.

Flood Water Stuck the clutch Plates Together
One thing I didn't count on was stuck clutch plates, removing the clutch basket takes a good 1/2 day and a rattle gun to undo a 30mm very tight nut inside the basket then the plates can be removed.
All the plates were stuck together but once removed were in good condition with just a shadow on the steel plates where the friction disks were, so after a clean up and a light rub with 1200 wet and dry paper and back they went.
There are two guide pulleys in the serpentine toothed belt, one is spring loaded and also locked with a bolt, this roller/pulley hissed loudly and feels rough too so will be replaced when Honda feels like delivering one.

New 85 mm Tacho
Today I cut a 86mm round hole over a 50mm hole, I bridged the smaller hole with piece of 1/8th" flat bar with a hole for the the hole saw guide bit.

Push Pull Cable
I saw on a Tripod Reverse Trike that his gear shift was transferred from the gear lever to the gearbox shift on the opposite side of the motor so I investigated.
I had experience with outboard motor engine control cables and figured a 4' push pull cable would easily shift gears on my Honda ST1100 motor which on my trike is no easy matter, however I can mount the cable under the floor pan with a graceful bend or two from the centre gear shift thru 90 deg to the gearbox shift,
I will start fabricating a new gear lever directly, see pic under for cable stats.
